Confucius, a Chinese philosopher and moralist once said: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life". An ambition is something that does not let you to be slow, slack or sluggish . t rather gives you an inventive stimulation. It arouses in you a strong passion for work. It awakens your dormant and drowsy attributes . It works like a guiding star and a lighthouse top. It directs the gone-astray people to the right direction and finally brings

them to their ultimate destiny. It helps you to focus your heed and

efforts on a particular target. It motivates you and compels you to be diligent, honest and steadfast in your efforts. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, a U.S. poet once said: "The heights by great men reached and kept

Were not attained by sudden flight,

But they, while their companions slept,

Were toiling upward in the night."

A good profession makes a man wealthy and glad. It brings about

peace and calm of both body and brain. While a wrong ambition results

in physical suffering and mental agony . It mars the

delight of success

Oelight of success and achievement. Therefore one should be

very cautious in choosing a profession. There are heaps of professions.

Different people choose different professions according to their taste and temperament . There are many honourable professions lying before me also. But 1 love to teach English. Therefore I want to be a teacher of English language and literature. James Thomson says: "Delightful task! to rear the tenderla thought,
To teach the young idea how to shoor"
Teaching is work of prophets, priests , saints and moralists. Henry Adams says: "A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops". I have got a good temperament and taste for teaching. It brings about profound happiness of soul and mind. It showers a pleasing light of knowledge in the pitch dark of ignorance. It uplifts human worth. All the prophets were teachers. They taught people good moral values.
Therefore it is a sacred profession. The best people are those who make others useful citizens. As a good mother rears good children, a teacher builds up a good nation. Therefore, I want to be a teacher in future.I am fit for this profession. By adopting this profession, I would be able to increase my knowledge. I would ever read fine and
fascinating books. I would also build up an extensive library for this purpose. I would study, examine and analyse the education systems of the developed countries. I would endeavourto inculcate their excellent educational qualities into our education
system. In this way, we would be able to adopt what is good and appreciable in all educational systems.
I know that teaching is not a well-paid job. All over the world
teachers are low-paid. But that does not matter much. I do not want to be
a moneybags. I know that there are other professions that pay a good deal. They bring fame and fortune as well. But 1 like teaching for other things. I like it for its sacredness , simplicity sincerity and service of humanity. I love it for the sake of it.
I love teaching for it helps a teacher establish very sacred relations.
